The iconic Detroit Auto Show is back with exciting news for car enthusiasts and industry insiders alike. After a brief hiatus from its traditional winter schedule, the 2025 show promises to be a celebration of mobility, innovation, and the city’s rich automotive heritage.
Save the Dates!
Mark your calendars! The Detroit Auto Show will run from Friday, January 10th through Monday, January 20th, 2025. Held at the Huntington Place in downtown Detroit, this 11-day event will showcase cutting-edge vehicles, technology debuts, and educational opportunities for visitors.
What’s New?
1. Flexible Schedule
The decision to return to January was deliberate. Organizers wanted to provide automakers and partners with a flexible schedule for product launches and technology reveals. This move allows exhibitors to schedule press conferences and unveilings throughout the show, ensuring maximum exposure for their latest innovations.
2. Media Day Highlights
Media Day kicks off the festivities on Friday, January 10th. Journalists will have exclusive access to the show floor, where they’ll witness the announcement of the 2025 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) awards. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding vehicles in North America. Following this, the EyesOn Design Awards will honor exceptional design in production and concept vehicles from the past year.
3. Charity Preview
The first day of the show concludes with the signature Charity Preview, a philanthropic tradition that has raised over $100 million for children’s charities in Southeastern Michigan. Stay tuned for entertainment announcements later this summer. Tickets for the Charity Preview go on sale starting October 14, 2024.
